2017: THE
DEBUT

In 2017, we introduced our first apparel line at the PGA Show in Florida. Flying wasn’t in the budget, so we snagged a $1/day RV rental and made the 2,000-mile trek in a 37-foot Winnebago from MN to Orlando. The RV had significantly more space than our first booth at the show.

While the sandal never gained traction (no pun intended), our brand began to resonate with the early wave of players interested in a more social, laid-back golf game.

After our launch we didn’t really have a clue how to get attention online, but what we did know is that golf courses sold clothes, and we knew how to drive to a golf course, so that’s what we did.

We slowly worked toward out first 100 golf course partners. Our line of polos, layers, and headwear began to resonate with players who wanted something different, something more fun (our definition of "more fun" at the time pictured on the left).

We were still packing orders in a basement, dodging water heaters and stepping over inventory to ship polos—but momentum was building, and we focused on replicating what was working.

We assembled a sales team that helped us continue to grow while expanding our product line. Eventually, we moved out of the basement and into our first real warehouse. It felt like going pro.
